CLAIM: Gaza could have a thriving tourism industry by focusing on building themselves up instead of building rockets to attack Israel.
One should take into account that…
- tourists can’t fly into Gaza because its only airport was bombed and its runway bulldozed by Israel in 2001, rendering it inoperable.
- tourists can’t arrive by sea because Gaza’s seaboard has been blockaded by the Israeli navy since 2008.
- tourists can’t arrive by land because most of Gaza is behind a tall barbed wire fence dotted with machine gun turrets, and the few militarized border crossings do not let tourists enter Gaza.
- after the 2023-2025 war on Gaza, Gaza will require decades of effort to rebuild its civilian infrastructure and housing, to say nothing about tourism infrastructure.
This is probably not the time to be thinking about the tourism industry.
One reply on “Israel-Palestine Mega Fact Check!”
Keep trying to invent history. The palis didn’t exist until the mid 1960s.
One other fun fact – every group, every political organization, and every government that has ever tried to destroy the Jews has been destroyed. Fun fact #2 Israel has never been stronger.
