The final death toll for October the 7th stands at approximately 1,139 Israelis. This includes 373 members of Israeli security forces and 695 Israeli civilians and 71 foreigners.
Hamas militants are indeed responsible for killing a large number of them. However, they are not the only ones responsible. Several other militant groups participated in the October 7th attacks, including the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).
The IDF also bears responsibility for an unknown number of the deaths that day, although Israel has continued to blame virtually all of these deaths on Hamas.
