CLAIM: Israel has the right to defend itself against Hamas’s October 7th attacks.
Every state certainly has the right to defend itself. But is it morally acceptable for one state to commit 40 times the killings, detain 20 times as many people, and destroy perhaps 10,000 times the amount of buildings and infrastructure, as the entity it is allegedly defending itself against? Is it more accurate to describe this as merely defending oneself, or as journalist Megan K. Stack wrote, a “wildly disproportionate response”?
If my neighbor killed one of my children, and I responded by killing my neighbor, his wife, their three children, their fifteen cousins, and their twenty nieces and nephews, then bombed all of their houses, would a judge accept my plea of “acting in self-defence”?

Keep trying to invent history. The palis didn’t exist until the mid 1960s.
One other fun fact – every group, every political organization, and every government that has ever tried to destroy the Jews has been destroyed. Fun fact #2 Israel has never been stronger.
