CLAIM: Israelis want to retake all of historic Palestine.
Some Israelis do hope to retake all of historic Palestine, and some do not.
A 2019 Haaretz poll found that 42% of Israelis support annexing part or all of the West Bank, with the remainder split between being against it and being undecided.
A 2020 poll by the Israel Democracy Institute similarly found that 50% of Israelis support annexing the Jordan Valley and the settlements, with 30% against and another 20% unsure.
Likewise, some Israeli political parties support annexation of part or all of the West Bank and Gaza, and some do not (such as Meretz). The most notable political party that calls for retaking all of historic Palestine is the Likud, which has been in power roughly half of the time since 1977. The Likud’s guiding principles states that “The Jewish people have an exclusive and inalienable right to all parts of the Land of Israel […] the Galilee, the Negev, the Golan and Judea and Samaria [the West Bank],” which indicates a clear desire for annexing all of historic Palestine.
One reply on “Israel-Palestine Mega Fact Check!”
Keep trying to invent history. The palis didn’t exist until the mid 1960s.
One other fun fact – every group, every political organization, and every government that has ever tried to destroy the Jews has been destroyed. Fun fact #2 Israel has never been stronger.
