CLAIM: Israel must prevent the entry of fuel into Gaza since Hamas uses it to propel rockets.
The militants’ rockets (including the Qassam rockets) use solid fuels such as sugar mixed with potassium nitrate to propel them, not liquid fuels such as diesel.
That said, it’s true that diesel fuel is used to power Hamas’s underground tunnel lighting and ventilation systems, among other things. But such fuels are also used to run Gaza’s sole power plant, which powers schools, hospitals, government buildings, stores, homes, water desalination plants, sewage treatment plants, and so on. Liquid fuels are also used to power cars, trucks, and farm equipment. Fuel is used to a far greater extent for civilian purposes than for military purposes, therefore restricting the entry of fuel has a much larger impact on civilian life than on military capacity.
One reply on “Israel-Palestine Mega Fact Check!”
Keep trying to invent history. The palis didn’t exist until the mid 1960s.
One other fun fact – every group, every political organization, and every government that has ever tried to destroy the Jews has been destroyed. Fun fact #2 Israel has never been stronger.
